How to Build a Highlight Reel on a Mac

While there are video editing software out there that can help you build a highlight reel, many of them cost money. For Mac users, iMovie, a free application, helps get the job done. This was designed with the non-technical computer user in mind, and is very straightforward and easy to use.

Using Footage on Your Profile

If you would like to include footage that is already uploaded to your profile, first you must download that footage to your device. You can do this by navigating to your video library and clicking the blue gear icon in the bottom left corner of the video you would like to use.

Please note that event film enabled through the IWLCARecruits film package is not available for direct download. If you would like a highlight reel made with this footage, you can redeem the professional highlight reel credit included in your membership by following the steps outlined in this article.

Using the SportsRecruits Highlight Editor Tool

With your SportsRecruits membership you have access to our Highlight Editor Tool. This tool allows student-athletes to easily build their own highlight reel or skills video right on their SportsRecruits profile. After building your highlight reel or skills video you can then publish the video for college coaches to watch.
