SportsRecruits is committed to providing feedback and complete transparency throughout your college recruiting process. In addition to the video you personally add to your student-athlete profile, college coaches also have access to your team video from recruiting events all over the country via EventBeacon. You can be notified via email & text message when college coaches view your team's video!
How did this college coach watch my event game film if it is not on my profile?
College coaches have access to this game film through EventBeacon On Demand, a digital platform that allows college coaches to access filmed recruiting events and games.
The video that is available to college coaches in the EventBeacon On Demand center may or may not be video that you own. College coaches have full access to the video library in EventBeacon and can see which athletes competed in each game, regardless of whether those athletes posted video from that event to their profile.
EventBeacon On Demand simulates in-person recruiting for college coaches. They are able to watch the full game, full rosters (as they would in the paper coaches book at an event), and recruit in the same way but from anywhere in the world. If you get a notification that a college coach watched one of your games, that is like noticing that a college coach was on the sideline at one of your games in person!
What is EventBeacon On Demand?
The EventBeacon technology is a suite of tools designed to enhance the experience of attending a recruiting event for the athletes, college coaches, and event operators.
EventBeacon offers college coaches an On Demand video center where coaches can stream video from recruiting events across the country. They can replay games they saw live, catch up on the games they missed, and discover athletes they may never have seen otherwise.
While coaches are watching the video, they see the full rosters of both teams competing to streamline their recruiting process. Anytime a college coach watches video of your team's games, we send you a notification to let you know!
What do these notification looks like?
We will send you an email and text message each time a college coach views one of your team's video in the EventBeacon On Demand center. The email will look like the one pictured below. Getting one of these notifications is just like seeing a college coach on the sidelines at one of your games!
A college coach viewed my team's event video, but I don't have access to the footage. How can I access it?
The video that is available to college coaches in the EventBeacon On Demand center may or may not be video that you own. College coaches have full access to the video library in EventBeacon and can see which athletes competed in each game, regardless of whether those athletes posted video from that event to their profile.
If you don't currently have access to the game footage and would like to, navigate to the event website. The film provider, along with a purchase link, is likely listed on the event website. If not, we recommend contacting the event operators directly.
SportsRecruits does not own all of the game video hosted in the EventBeacon On Demand Center, however we do have the filming rights to a selection of the events. If the event was filmed by our team, you can purchase film directly from the Available Video tab of your SportsRecruits profile.
How do I know which coaches have viewed my recruiting videos?
College coaches rely on video to get an idea of what your skillset is like. We’ll notify you each time a coach watches one of your team's event videos. Be sure to set up notifications on your account. These interactions are summarized in the Activity Feed and Analytics section as well.
Not seeing which college in particular is the one viewing your profile? It is likely because you do not currently have a SportsRecruits membership. Check out our article Why Can’t I See Which College Coaches Are Viewing my Profile? to learn more.
All of this information provides you with transparency as you navigate the process, providing you with insight into the level of interest a coach or program has in you!
