SportsRecruits and Athlete.ai have created an integration so student-athletes can send their Athlete.ai footage straight to their SportsRecruits Video Library, where college coaches can watch it. This article covers all the ways to connect your accounts and send video.
How Do I Connect My Athlete.ai Account to SportsRecruits?
Before You Start
Your Athlete.ai account requires three fields to be filled in: first name, last name, and email address. If any are missing, you'll see a Profile Information Required message when you try to connect. Tap Open Settings, add the missing details, and try again.
NOTE: Connecting SportsRecruits is available for Player accounts on Athlete.ai. If you don't see a Connect option, confirm you're on a player profile with first name, last name, and email filled in under Settings.
New to Athlete.ai? Connect During Sign-Up
- Open the Athlete.ai app and choose the Player role when prompted to Complete Your Profile.
- Check the box labeled Link my SportsRecruits profile, then tap Complete.
- Tap Create Player Profile and fill in your details. The SportsRecruits option stays checked.
- Your browser opens to SportsRecruits. Sign in to link an existing account, or create one on the spot.
- Look for the SportsRecruits Connected! confirmation in the app. Your accounts are linked and you're ready to send video.
Already Have an Athlete.ai Account? Connect Anytime
- Go to Settings > Integrations, or open your Player Profile and scroll to Integrations. Either entry point works.
- On the SportsRecruits row, tap Connect.
- Your browser opens to SportsRecruits. Sign in, or create an account on the spot.
- You'll see SportsRecruits Connected! and a green Connected badge on the row.
PRO TIP: If you've connected SportsRecruits before, connecting again from your Player Profile automatically restores your previous link when possible. You may not need to open the browser at all.
To disconnect at any time, tap the green Connected badge and confirm Unlink.
Connecting as a Parent or Guardian
Parents and guardians can send a video to SportsRecruits on a player's behalf, but the SportsRecruits connection must be made through the player's own Athlete.ai account.
- Claim the player. Open Claim as Parent/Guardian, enter the athlete's 6-digit claim code, and tap Manage as Parent.
- Confirm the player is connected. The player, or you using their account, completes the steps above until their profile shows Connected.
- Send video for them. The Send to SportsRecruits option appears on their finished videos. If you manage more than one connected player, you'll be asked which player the video should go to.
How Do I Send a Video from Athlete.ai to SportsRecruits?
Once your accounts are connected, you can send any finished (fully processed) video to your SportsRecruits Video Library so college coaches can watch it.
From the video player:
Open the video and tap the SportsRecruits icon on the video controls.
You'll see "Sending to SportsRecruits… Uploading your video…," then "Video sent to SportsRecruits successfully."
From your video list:
Go to Player Profile > Videos (or My Media), enter selection mode
Select one or more videos, and choose Send to SportsRecruits.
-
Wait for the Success! confirmation.
Videos you've already sent show a small SportsRecruits badge on the thumbnail.
To remove a video: Tap the SportsRecruits icon again on a video that's already been sent, or select the video and choose Remove from SportsRecruits.
NOTE: Videos must be fully processed before they can be sent. If you don't see the SportsRecruits option, give the video a moment to finish processing and confirm your accounts are connected.
What Can I Do with My Athlete.ai Video on SportsRecruits?
Once your Athlete.ai video lands in your Video Library, set it to visible so college coaches can watch it. Student-athletes with visible video on their profiles are 17x more likely to receive. From there, build a highlight reel of your best clips using the clip creator tool for Playlists. Learn how in Creating Clips for Your Playlists.
New video on your profile is also a good reason to reach out to college coaches. Athletes with a Pro account have access to the Messaging System, which makes it easy to notify college coaches directly. Learn more in How to Use the Messaging System.
