Most upload problems come from Apple ProRes files, which our video uploader doesn't support. Export or convert your video to an H.264 MP4 file, then upload it again.
How Do I Export from iMovie?
- Click File in the menu bar, hover over Share, and click File.
- For quality, choose High, not Best (ProRes).
- Click Next.
- Name your file and click Save.
How Do I Export from Final Cut Pro?
- Click File in the menu bar, hover over Share, and click File.
- Under Settings, set the codec to H.264, not any codec that starts with "Apple ProRes."
- Click Next.
- Name your file and click Save.
Only Have the Original File?
Start a new movie in iMovie, or a new project in Final Cut Pro. Click File and then Import Media, choose your file, and drag it into the timeline. Then export it using the steps above.
Don't Have iMovie or Final Cut Pro?
Use a free converter like HandBrake to save your video as an MP4 file.
