With the Eval by SportsRecruits, Organization administrators can easily evaluate players using the "Evaluation" feature. This allows you to see players and rate them across the different metrics you selected during your live evaluation. The evaluation ratings also ensure all players get evaluated and help focus attention on players who have not received a "locked down" rating.
How to Evaluate Players:
To begin, on the left side of the screen there are filters you can choose from to keep the evaluation organized or focused on a specific area. These filters include grad years, groups, check-in status, and position.
When you are ready to begin evaluating players, you can click on a player's name. This will give you the ability to use the metrics you previously created, take notes (written or voice), and edit player information.
Next, you can begin giving out player grades. By clicking and holding the triangle next to a player's name, the entire grading scale will drop down. “Green'' indicates the highest rating which equals to an “A/10” while “Dark Gray” is the lowest rating which equals to an “F/1”. If a player has a “Light Gray'' triangle next to their name this indicates that the player has not yet been rated. If you’re an admin you will also have the ability to “Lock” your grade as well. A lock indicates that the evaluator feels strongly about the grade for the player. This will be seen by other evaluators and also flags any conflicting locked grades with a “warning sign” on the athlete card.
On the right, you will be able to view the “Lock Table.” This shows how many athletes and what positions have a locked evaluation.
Split Screen Mode:
If you are having a scrimmage during the event you can use the “Split Screen View” which displays the rosters side-by-side so you can easily rate players in real-time. To use this view, go to the left-hand side where the filters are located and select the groups you would like to view under "Split Screen View". The athlete lists and lock tables will function the same as previously described above.
Blind Evaluation:
Admins have the ability to create an unbiased blind evaluation by changing the settings of the evaluation to “Hide Player Names.” This will remove the players’ names and leave only the player's jersey numbers. To do this you will need to exit the evaluation. The video below shows a step-by-step process of how to change your evaluation into a blind evaluation.

Eval Guide:
The “?” in the bottom left corner opens an eval guide that explains how the rating system works. The eval guide below shows what the colors and lock icons indicate and how the initials under a player's name indicate which evaluators have already rated a player:
- Tap the "Triangles" to rate a player; press + hold for all ratings
- Initials under a player name show ratings of evaluators
- "Lock" icon = admin locked a player rating to focus attention on other players
- "Warning Sign" = admin disagrees on a rating
- Tap name to add notes, tap "Microphone" for voice dictation
- "Blue" tab = your note
- "Grey" tab = other evaluator notes
- The "Up arrow" sorts to ensure all players are rated and have notes
- "Green Cloud" = data as saved (click green cloud to manually sync)
- "Yellow Cloud" = data is saving (eval saves once per minute in the background)
- Click "EXIT" to close the evaluation
