If you have videos uploaded on your SportsRecruits profile, you can now choose a video to be featured video on your profile! The Featured Video is located at the top of your player profile for college coaches to see as soon as they click on your profile! 

How to Choose Your Featured Video?

To select which video you would like as your featured video, follow the steps below:

1. Log in to your SportsRecruits account here
2. Navigate to the "Video" tab located in the top right corner
3. Click the "Blue Gear" icon on the bottom left corner of a video and you will see the tab "Make Featured."
4. That video will now appear on your profile as the featured video.

Navigate to the "Profile" tab to see the changes!

Which Video Should I Choose as My Featured Video?

Your Featured Video is a chance to choose a video that best showcases your athletic skills. Your Featured video should ideally be a 2-3-minute highlight reel of your best plays, or a skills video, depending on your sport. Your Featured Video should ideally highlight three key characteristics throughout:

1. Versatility - Although scoring is important to any game, it’s not the only thing that identifies you as a premier athlete. You need to show that your abilities go beyond one skill.
2. Show off your Sports IQ - Your Featured Video should show that you are able to quickly assess situations and make the right play at the right time. You should make sure some of your clips show you developing a play through off-ball movement, along with the ability to position yourself in the right spot to capitalize for your team. 
3. Athleticism -  College coaches want to see your stamina, strength, and agility. This goes along with your off-ball movement. College coaches do not want to see an athlete standing around throughout a clip.

What If I Don’t Have Any Video On My Profile?

If you do not have any video uploaded to your profile, your Featured Video section will simply populate with the cover stock photo.

As a prospective student-athlete, you can use the SportsRecruits platform to upload unlimited amounts of video for any college coach in the country to view throughout the recruiting process. College coaches rely heavily on video to evaluate the student-athletes who are reaching out to them, so having videos on your profile is vital.

What If I Don’t Have a Highlight Reel to Use as My Featured Video?
