Here at SportsRecruits, we know that quality video is a must-have in the college recruiting process. Using your Club Video Library, your organization has complete control of this side of the recruiting process. You can easily distribute game film, skills videos, or highlight reels with your student-athletes as well as make game film with your roster side-by-side accessible to college coaches. And unlike most other video platforms, your Club Video Library allows you full transparency into the colleges viewing your video.   

Uploading Video to Your Club Video Library on SportsRecruits

1. Log into your SportsRecruits account and click on the Video tab in the top toolbar.  
2. You can either click “Select files to upload” or drag and drop files from your desktop or mobile device.
3. Once the videos are uploaded, you are now able to assign them and edit their information. (Note: You can complete this step during the transcoding process.)
4. Once your video finishes transcoding and appears in your library, you can make it Visible or Hidden on your organization’s storefront. (Note: all video uploaded on the Club Video Library will automatically be Visible on Storefront until you toggle the blue button to Hidden on Storefront.)

If you are uploading from a mobile device, please remember to do so when connected to wifi so that you don’t go over your data plan.

You can upload up to 10 files at a time. Keep in mind that video files are large. The more files you upload at once, the longer it will take.

Embedding to Your Club Video Library on SportsRecruits

1. Log into your SportsRecruits account and click on the Video tab in the top toolbar.

2. Click where it says “Embed” instead of “Upload.” You can embed clips that already exists on Hudl, Youtube, Vimeo, or Krossover to your Club Video Library.

3. Navigate to the specific video of interest on its Youtube, Hudl, Vimeo, or Krossover page, copy its specific URL then paste the URL into SportsRecruits. You will see the “Embed” button darken, click and your embedded video will appear in your Library.

4. Once your video appears in your library, you are now able to assign it, edit the information, and make it Visible or Hidden on your organization’s storefront.

Distributing Uploaded/Embedded Film to Your Student-Athletes & Staff

1. Click on the Edit menu of any video and select “Assign."  
2. You can assign it to either an individual student-athlete/Coach or to an entire team. Type the name of the athlete(s) or team(s) of interest and select from the dropdown options.
3. Remove any athlete(s) and staff that should not receive this club video, then click “Assign and Distribute.” Everyone selected will get a notification that they have new club video now available in their Video Library on SportsRecruits. (Note: this video will NOT automatically display on a student-athlete’s SportsRecruits profile. It will remain hidden from their profile, accessible only to them in their Library until the athlete chooses to make it visible.)

Editing the Details of Club Video

1. Click on the Edit menu of any video and select “Details.”  Here you can edit the title, add the date when it was taken, and write a short description detailing what the video shows (the specific tournament or competition, highlight-reel-worthy moments, scores and competitors, etc.). You can also download it from here.

The Finished Club Video Product

Club video that you keep Visible on Storefront will be featured at the top of your organization’s storefront page. If you have assigned this video to athletes or a team, a college coach watching it on your page will see a roster of those assigned athletes right next to the video. The roster will include hyperlinks to the profiles of each student-athlete. This makes it very easy for college coaches to evaluate specific athletes directly from your video!

You can also easily share specific club video directly with college coaches by clicking “Copy Link” and then paste that link into a private message between you and a college coach via the SportsRecruits messaging system. This link will bring coaches directly to the video/view seen above, streamlining player-to-college-coach exposure!

Club Video Library FAQs

Who has access to the Club Video Library?

Any Club/High School Staff or Coach on SportsRecruits has access to upload and distribute video using the tools in the Club Video Library. In the case of Video Coordinators, we can also set them up with Club Video ONLY access. What kind of videos should be uploaded in the Club Video Library?

The Club Video Library tools are our solution to increasing your athletes’ exposure to the college coach community. At its core, these tools expand on our goal to provide the one-stop-shop for the college recruiting process. Use the Club Video tools to easily distribute practice and drill videos that athletes can clip into personal highlight reels or a skills video. Lean on the tools to share a recent film session with one of your athletes, and they will have that video in SportsRecruits and ready to post on their profile. 

Where these Club Video tools will give your club a real edge is after a recent game, match, or competition that you have caught on film and want more college coaches to see. Not every college coach can make every one of your competitions - by making your program’s competitions visible on your storefront with the correct rosters assigned and attached, you are providing college coaches with an easy-to-access, digital environment for recruiting. 

One of the colleges invited to your showcase over the weekend couldn’t make it last minute? No problem! Shoot them a message through SportsRecruits, direct them to your organization’s storefront (link included automatically at the bottom of every SportsRecruits message), and advise them to take a look at all games dated for the past weekend!

Can athletes download club video? Can athletes delete club video assigned to them without affecting the original video?

Athletes can download club video from their personal video library IF that club video was uploaded to SportsRecruits originally. Club video embedded and assigned to athletes is not available for download. 

Athletes can delete club video - uploaded or embedded - from their library at any time. Deleting club video from an athlete’s library does NOT delete the original club video from the Club Video Library.

Is club video visible on individual team pages?

No, club video is visible only on an Organization’s Storefront, not on the individual team pages of the assigned teams.

Will the general public, people not logged into SportsRecruits, be able to view this video?

Club video is only visible if it is selected to be Visible on Storefront or if an athlete decides to make it visible on their individual profile once it is assigned to them. However, any personal information about student-athletes is not available to anyone outside your organization except for college coaches logged into SportsRecruits. Privacy is very important to us, so we have protected your staff and athletes’ most personal information. But we also want your organization to be able to easily show off your athletes and their skills!

Will my athletes be able to use club video to create highlight reels using the Highlight Reel Editor? 

Yes! Athletes can use any uploaded club video assigned to them to create highlight reels using the Highlight Reel Editor. Learn more about an athlete’s Highlight Reel Editor here.

Embedded club video cannot be used in the Highlight Reel Editor. However, any video existing in an athlete’s video library - uploaded or embedded - can be referred to in their Professional Reel Form and used by our Post Production team to create a Professional Highlight Reel. Can club video be posted to our social media pages?

All club video published to your organization’s Storefront has a Video Share Link that you can copy and paste into Twitter, Facebook, or Instagram. This link will bring college coaches and your fans to the specific video and team you are interested in showcasing!
