When a student-athlete is creating a highlight within the SportsRecruits highlight editor, they may be able to clip their footage in "Panoramic View". Some Event Film on SportsRecruits has the options of "Standard View" and "Panoramic View". Here you will read how to clip footage within the highlight reel editor using the "Panoramic View".

What is "Panoramic View"

The "Panoramic View" format of an event video will capture the entire playing surface at a 180 degree angle. In other words, the camera captures 100% of the playing surface for the entirety of the game, rather than zooming in on different parts of the field or court to capture the action.

Why is the "Panoramic View" Useful?

The panoramic view is most useful in situations where the standard capture version of your event film does not adequately capture the action. Maybe the camera doesn't keep up with a fast break, misses a key play, or isn't zoomed in appropriately. In these situations, you can toggle to the Panoramic View to see the playing surface in its entirety, along with any missed action.

Using the Highlight Reel Editor on your SportsRecruits profile, you can clip parts of your game film from the panoramic view, when available, and add them to your highlight reel. You can zoom in or out on the video file and navigate to one particular part of the screen to curate the perfect highlight clip.

How to Clip Footage from the Panoramic View

1. Head to the "Video" Tab of your profile.

2. Then click on "Highlight Reel Editor".

3. Click "Create New Reel" then name your reel.

4. From there scroll down to your "Video Library. You will see video that can be used in your highlight reel editor.

** Video that says, "Panoramic + Standard View" gives you the option to clip up footage from either view. Keep in mind if you do not see this label on the footage you only have the ability to clip in the "Standard View". **

5. Choose Event Film with the option of "Panoramic + Standard View".

6. Click "Panoramic View"

7. Click the REC button to start recording your clip. While recording your clip you are able to:

• Scroll on a mouse or trackpad to zoom in/out.
• Click and drag within the video screen to navigate left/right/up/down.

8. Click the REC button to end the recording of your clip.

9. Then click "Add Clip to Reel".
